# Security

Astral is deploying Yearn V3 vault technology: user assets are held within external vault contracts and AMMs, not in team or DAO controlled wallets; users deposit and withdraw through the underlying vault and pool mechanics; administrative control is constrained by governance, timelocks, and the rules of the external contracts.
